In bringing Archestra online, I’m excavating 25 years or so in management consulting, IT, marketing and the art world to offer certain points of view, about how we design and build value, that ring true across the experiences in those domains. Anyone that makes things they designed themselves is possibly going to recognize, add or take something here. People who run things, too.
If we’ve met in the past, it may have been through certain consulting firms I started with colleagues, such as Fulcrum Management or Renovance LLP; or through certain software companies where I managed product and market strategy such as Utopia, Vantive, Remedy, or Pilot Software. Maybe during presentation work I did with analyst groups like Gartner, Meta, Robert Frances, or Ventana. Or perhaps it was through any of various arts organizations such as the NEA, the NY State Council on the Arts, or the New York (City) Foundation for the Arts, where I helped design and run programs to get money and time to artists. Or maybe it was through my photography activity in New York and the Bay Area or at Princeton.
Or even, every now and then you get help from somewhere, and something you did gets a highlight or blip in the old mass media. Blogs being what they are, this one might bring up some past shiners like the ActiveROI value-management model, or maybe a photograph or something; but now the fun will be in adding certain stuff to this location from other people too.
P.S. - If you happen to be approximately from Norfolk Virginia, New Orleans, or Upper West Side Manhattan, write me and let me know.
